Job Overview.

We are seeking a Linux Network Administrator to manage and maintain the network infrastructure and Linux-based systems for our organization.

This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of servers, networks, and security systems to ensure seamless operations.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of Linux networking and basic shell scripting to automate tasks and generate alerts..

Key Responsibilities.

Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (Ubuntu) and network infrastructure..

Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and VPN networks..

Monitor and analyze network traffic, manage firewalls, and configure IP Set up and manage network servers, file systems, and access controls..

Perform regular security checks, including patch management and intrusion detection..

Automate routine administrative tasks using Linux shell scripting..

Implement backup, recovery, and failover processes for critical systems..

Upgrade network hardware, systems, and software to meet organizational needs..

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues..

Required Skills.

Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting..

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network security practices..

Experience with firewall configuration, IP tables, and intrusion detection systems..

Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting utilities (Wireshark, Nagios, etc.)..

Basic knowledge of AWS and cloud-based networking..

Skills in hardware and software troubleshooting for Linux environments..

Understanding of patch management and data recovery processes..

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills..

Preferred Skills.

Certifications like RHCE, CCNA, or similar are an advantage..

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and network automation tools..

Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for network automation..
