Job Title: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Accountant
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) or Accountant to join our finance team at Zanskar Securities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in accounting, financial analysis, taxation, and regulatory compliance within the financial or broking sector. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Accounting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements).
- Handle day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure that financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies.
2. Taxation:
- Oversee and manage indirect taxes (GST, Service Tax, etc.) and direct taxes (Income Tax) for brokerage operations.
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely payment of taxes and assist in tax audits.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with SEBI and other regulatory bodies' financial and reporting guidelines.
- Assist in preparing reports for regulators, investors, and auditors.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with applicable laws and standards.
4. Financial Analysis & Budgeting:
- Analyze financial performance and prepare variance reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and profitability to suggest improvements.
5. Internal Controls & Audit:
- Assist in the internal audit process and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Work closely with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
6. Client Accounting (if applicable):
- Maintain records of client funds, reconcile client accounts, and prepare periodic client statements.
- Manage funds and ensure compliance with the broking firm's internal policies.
7. Systems & Process Improvement:
- Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.
- Assist in the automation and digitalization of accounting functions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting, preferably in the broking, finance, or investment industry.
- Familiarity with SEBI regulations and broking operations is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting software (Tally, or other relevant accounting tools).
- Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and other relevant taxation laws.
Additional Skills (Optional):
- Knowledge of broking software (e.g., trading platforms, accounting systems) would be beneficial.
- Experience in working with audit firms or exposure to broking firm audits.
