Chief Physiotherapist

JOB PURPOSE

To provide the best physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation to both OP and IP patients. Design and implement strategies for revenue improvement, cost effectiveness, process improvement, patient satisfaction and upskilling of staff

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, plan and execute strategy for business development and revenue generation.
2. Overall management of physiotherapy department.
3. To carryout rounds in patient care areas, assess patients and recommend course of physiotherapy treatment.
4. Monitor and assess physiotherapy treatment being given by team members.
5. Assessment and reporting of progress of patient.
6. To train and guide team members.
7. To collect patient feedback (verbal).
8. To take corrective and preventive action on patient feedback and implement process improvement initiatives.
9. To ensure and monitor equipment functioning.
10. To report complaints regarding equipment to the concerned department.
11. Ensure updation of equipment register.
12. To check records maintenance and updation.
13. To coordinate with other departments.
14. To ensure smooth interpersonal and inter departmental relationship.
15. To assist in recruitment and selection.
16. To supervise and evaluate performance of the staff.
17. To allocate work and prepare duty roster.
18. Monitor late coming and absenteeism in the department and take corrective or preventive action.
19. To ensure adequate stock availability in the department.
20. To report any significant / untoward incident to Senior Administrator.
21. Check payment receipt for out-patients.
22. Ensure standardization / uniformity of physiotherapy care and protocols across units.
23. To undertake research and development, to ensure publications and advance techniques
24. Implementation in respective areas of physiotherapy.
25. To supervise the work load in 4 units (Physiotherapy).
26. Assistance in recruitment, selection and appraisal for 4 Units.
27. Monitoring 4 Units statistics.
28. Quality management of physiotherapy procedures in 4 Units.
29. Coordinating with physiotherapy home care team.
30. Coordinate with Principal and Dean for academic affairs in Yashoda College of Physiotherapy.
31. Monitoring and training of fellowship students in their respective specializations.
32. Ensure the following:
1. Proper bedside physiotherapy
2. Proper documentation
3. Treatment in a standard manner
4. Proper home advice and training on exercise
5. Cleanliness
6. Discipline

5-7 Yrs Experience
