Role Overview :

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to manage and maintain databases efficiently. The ideal candidate should have expertise in MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB with hands-on experience in Data Center environments.

The role demands proactive management of database systems to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Management :

- Install, configure, and manage MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB databases.

- Perform regular backups, recovery, and patch management.

Performance Optimization :

- Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning indexes and queries.

- Identify and resolve database bottlenecks.

Data Security and Integrity :

- Implement security measures to safeguard data.

- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.

Data Center Operations :

- Work within a Data Center environment to ensure database reliability and availability.

- Collaborate with Data Center teams to support infrastructure changes impacting databases.

Troubleshooting and Support :

- Address and resolve database-related issues promptly.

- Provide support for application development teams by creating and optimizing database queries.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain proper documentation of database configurations and procedures.

- Generate regular reports on database performance and capacity planning.

Key Skills and Requirements :

- Proficiency in managing MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB databases.

- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

- Experience in working within a Data Center environment.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with database security standards and best practices.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications in database management systems or related areas will be an added advantage.

- Prior experience with high-availability database clusters and replication setups
