Associate Analyst - Research (1-3 yrs)

Who are we:

We are xto10x, a company founded six years back to help startups scale well. The founders - Binny, Saiki and Neeraj - all three of whom spent their time at Flipkart together, felt passionate about helping entrepreneurs and founders build their companies well.

All of us in the company feel the same way. We come from a mix of operating and consulting backgrounds and work with founders of companies at different stages of growth. How does this role fit in the organizational context?

We do a lot of bespoke with our clients across various people topics such as designing organizations for scale, helping the org install ESOP frameworks that help attract and retain the right kind of talent, help them get to the right cost structure for them to be attractive prospects for investors or going public, etc.

All this requires us to do deep research, which when used well, can help us make the right kind of recommendations to the client. A big part of the role is to build the knowledge base that will help us do this more effectively than we do today.

We also manage complex projects, with a lot of moving parts. We are looking for this role to also help execute some parts of the projects, especially in our Talent Development practice. This entails automating processes, researching articles, and continuously improving systems that keep our learners engaged.

In short, we would like for this role to:

1. Conduct primary and secondary research for projects by talking to leaders in the industry, interpreting reports/papers etc.

2. Become the knowledge bank of our practice, build systems to access this for the team

3. Process excellence - Help us program manage complex projects and continuously improve the processes associated with this (this may involve the application of AI tools)

4. Own and execute parts of talent development projects

- This is a role that gives you exposure across multiple areas and multiple industries. Over a period of time, it will lay the foundation for you to do move into a role where you anchor some engagements yourself, and co-deliver large, complex engagements

- Strong Learning orientation - Given every project area is likely to be different, your learning orientation becomes foundational to success

- Comfort with numbers - There will be a need to analyze and visualize numbers as part of the research work.

- Ability to decipher patterns - You will need to make connections across conversations, secondary research and past work. So, sense making from various sources of information is a core need for this role

- Process oriented - You will be expected to define and hold processes so that it helps us store our information and insights better, manage our projects better and deliver effectively for our clients

- Flair for using and learning AI tools - There is a likelihood that we will use AI tools effectively to turbocharge across all areas of work. Your comfort with tools and interest in the area will be an important enabler.
