Quality Assurance and Automation Engineer

Position: QA Engineer
Experience: 3-8 years
Location: Pune
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Selenium and Java.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on web-based and backend systems.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test strategies.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure quality delivery.
• Continuously enhance the automation framework for scalability and performance.
• Document testing processes, issues, and results to provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on Selenium and Java.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in performance testing tools
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent (optional).
