In your day-to-day role you will
- Own implementation of a module/application/product
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software solutions using Java in a Linux/Unix environment, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in complex architectural discussions that involve multiple systems.
- Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery.
- Drive integration efforts and lead critical work streams of strategic initiatives sponsored by senior executives.
- Drive engineering excellence.
- Pro-active response in identifying and troubleshooting integration or technical issues.
- Drive engineering excellency by creating reusable, production-ready frameworks.
- Challenge the status quo when needed.
- Ownership and strive for excellence in your role.
- Mentor and train new team members, sharing your knowledge and experience to help onboard them onto the team quickly and efficiently, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
What Do You Need to Bring
- A bachelor s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of
technical education and work experience. - 7+ years experience building software or web applications with object oriented or functional programming languages.
- Expert knowledge in Java, J2EE, REST
- Familiarity with other languages and technologies development like databases, python
- Experience in various architecture design patterns, design, and implementation of Financial Systems/Platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to scope, create and successfully deploy new strategy/ initiatives / capabilities.
- A deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented design, and algorithms.
- Experience working with large-scale, highly available, and distributed systems.
- Experience developing automated unit, integration, and functional tests,
preferably in a Java environment using tools like JUnit, Mockito, or Spring Test. - Competent in software engineering tools (e.g. Java build tools) and best practices (e.g. unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, etc.) with experience in using build and deployment tools to streamline and
automate the development lifecycle. - Experience to interact with engineering teams from multiple geo-locations.
- Should have good communication skills.
- Expertise in online payments and related domains is a plus
