Job Description :
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain Oracle database applications using PL/SQL.
- Create and manage stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas to support application functionality.
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to ensure high database performance.
- Implement indexing strategies and query tuning to improve data retrieval efficiency.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and accuracy of PL/SQL code.
- Ensure compliance with organizational coding standards and best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to database performance, integrity, and functionality.
- Provide support for production systems and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for database structures, processes, and configurations.
- Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and implement database requirements.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage data migrations, backups, and restoration processes.
Technical Skills Required :
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL query writing and optimization techniques.
- Experience in designing and managing relational database schemas.
- Understanding of normalization and denormalization techniques.
- Expertise in query tuning, execution plan analysis, and performance diagnostics.
- Knowledge of Oracle performance tools like TKPROF, SQL Trace, or AWR reports.
- Experience with PL/SQL debugging tools and testing frameworks.
- Ability to write and execute test scripts for validating database functionalities.
- Proficiency with Oracle database tools such as SQL-Plus, Toad, or SQL Developer.
- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
- Experience with data import/export and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Informatica is a plus.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting for database operations.
- Understanding of database security and data protection principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate (OCA).
- Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate.
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP).
