Job Description

Xentrix Studios is hiring Texture Artists to join our production team in Bangalore. We require talented men and women who show exceptional understanding of surface qualities, lighting and shading concepts, detailing, composition, color, form, and scale. The position offers a chance to work in a creative environment to produce Textures for children s animated TV series, Feature Films, Theme Parks and Games. We are all set to welcome artists who will contribute with their skills and provide ideas for creating stunning visuals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Texture as per the established designs and produce an accurate translation of the design reference.

The Textures need to meet the creative requirements of the Production Designer and/or Art Director and/or client.

It s important that the Texture should satisfy the technical needs of the CG department and be efficient, reliable and to the scale.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ability to use photographs or invent new tactile representations.

Strong understanding of color schemes, shaders, Modeling and UV Mapping.

Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.

Good working knowledge of software s such as Photoshop, Maya and Mari.

Background in Photography would be a plus.

Art Background. Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, Illustration, Computer Graphics preferred.

At least 3-4 years experience as a 3D Texture Artist for TV series / Feature / video games.

PORTFOLIO REQUIRMENT & SKILL TEST

Visual demonstration (Show reel: QuickTime or web link preferred) of Texturing skills that illustrates your versatility

Only online artwork submissions will be accepted (e.g. website, blog or online album).

Candidate must be willing to complete a skill test if required

Likes

No support from management, supervisor and leads they don't like if artist are going home early even they finish their works. If u raise any question u will be targeted by the teamlead or production members. Mental torcher, no proper communication between leads, Regional partiality, Rude behaviour.

Dislikes

There is lot of politics and management don't address our issue. HR department is just for name sake, they don't have any rights to implement HR policies, every thing is dicide by supervisor and leads only.
