Assistant Consultant - Acoustics

WSP is seeking an Acoustic Consultant to join our acoustics team in India to work alongside our award-winning UK acoustics team. The successful applicant will be part of the environment team based in either Noida or Bengaluru and will work alongside acoustics colleagues in India and the UK to deliver projects for our clients and contribute to continued success and growth of the acoustics team.

With approximately 50 acoustic consultants in the UK, covering environmental and architectural acoustics as well as complex vibration, you will be part of one of the largest acoustics teams in the UK which presents significant opportunities for the successful applicant to develop their consultancy skills.

What you can expect to do here

• Computer modelling using ArcGIS and CadnaA

• Calculation of HVAC noise levels and development of mitigation strategies

• Room acoustics calculations

• Processing of noise and vibration survey data

• Producing technical drawings and figures

• Technical report writing

What you ll bring to WSP

• A relevant degree in acoustics, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering or related discipline

• 2+ years of acoustics consultancy or related work

• Enthusiasm, drive and ambition

• A social and team spirited attitude

• An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people

• Good organisation skills.

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Exposure to UK projects, British Standards and guidance documents will be advantageous.

• Understanding of ArcGIS will be advantageous
