Assistant Engineer -Energy and Microclimate Advisory

The WSP is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Engineer with a background in Air Quality Modeling to work with our Middle East- Earth and Environment Advisory Services team. The successful applicant will operate within a team of environmental and sustainability professionals in Bangalore/Noida delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the team by being an integral part of our client focused delivery of projects. You will be joining a well-respected, large and dynamic team with a wide range of clients across different markets and sectors including national and local government, industrial, commercial and scientific sectors.

Successful candidate must have:

• Perform air quality modeling using AERMOD BREEZE to assess pollutant dispersion, concentration, and exposure levels.
• Prepare emission inventories and conduct air dispersion modeling, comparing results with regulations and conducting air quality impact assessments for EIA/ESIA and permitting processes.
• Use AERMET to process meteorological data and configure AERMOD for specific site conditions.
• Knowledge in EPA guidelines and Middle east air quality guidelines to ensure compliance in modeling practices.
• Familiarity with emission sources and knowledge of calculating emission factors for various pollutant sources (industrial, transportation, energy etc).
• Evaluate the impacts of emissions from various sources (industrial facilities, urban environments, etc.) on ambient air quality and nearby sensitive receptors and providing mitigation measures.
• Working collaboratively with design and planning teams
• Prepare high quality technical reports based on software-based assessments/studies

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline (Architecture, Environmental Science or other relevant discipline).
• Master s degree is a plus.
• 1-2 years of professional experience.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and a flexible mindset to working.
• Excellent written English and verbal communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset and outcome driven working method.
