Technical Director - Strategic Modelling

We are seeking a Technical Director for our Strategic Modelling team within Communities and Mobility

• Act as Strategic Modelling Business Development Director directly to the Service Line Director
• Acting on an entrepreneurial basis to development relationships and win work where required from within WSP (across transport, rail, highways, property & buildings) through our significant client base and from new clients in the UK and overseas
• Work with the Strategic Modelling Discipline Team Leader to allow the team leader to resource and develop the team whilst providing mentoring & training
• Lead project work as necessary and act as Project Director / Project Manager where required
• Provide support to the wider UK Strategic Modelling team and other parts of WSP
• Actively encouraging technical and professional development within the Strategic Modelling team

Responsibilities

• Strategic Modelling is a Service Line within WSP s Mobility business that works with a wide range of local authority & private clients from across the UK to help them achieve their mobility ambitions. We deliver a wide range of analytical tools, models and techniques to schemes from concept to delivery that include.
• We have had recent key successes with Leeds City Council, City of York, NH Technical Delivery Partner, High Speed 2, East West Rail, West of England Combined Authorities others across the UK.
• The Strategic Modelling team is based in offices across the country with over 100 staff currently in the UK and 35 in India making up the team with significant growth planned.
