Senior Engineer - Land Development & Municipal Engineering

Role Summary

WSP is currently seeking for a Senior Engineer to join our Land Development Team (LD & ME) located at our Bengaluru office. This role typically involves design for a variety of greenfield and infill projects for residential, commercial, retail, and institutional sites. Some examples of these include residential subdivisions, site plans for commercial/industrial developments, utility plans, grading plans, Erosion & Sedimentation Plans, Earthwork / Grading cut fill and mixed-use condominium blocks. The projects will almost exclusively be in Autodesk Civil 3D and will require substantial coordination with Project Managers located in our Canadian Offices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering design in a team environment on small to large-scale project teams.
• Utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D knowledge in projects from concept to completion
• Participate in development of concept, preliminary and detailed engineering design & drawing.
• Support in cost-engineering design review, quantity take-offs, Tenders for contracts
• Technically guiding the Engineers and Assistant Engineers in Land Development projects
• Performing QA/QC for the Deliverables
• Project Management and co-ordination with Lead regions

Key Competencies / Skills

• Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Experience in Grading of Plot, Lot, Commercial Sites, Pumping Stations & Plot plan reviews.
• Experience in Pre / Post Storm Water Assessment based on Site Grading
• Experience in Pre / Post Grading of Sites, Demolition Plans, Parking & Signage Plans  
• Knowledge in Road Alignments, Curb Gutter & Road Grading, Road Profiles & Parking Lot Gradings
• Production of general, drainage & Utilities plan and profile drawings
• Production of Utility section drawings and detail drawings of all appurtenances
• Knowledge in Driveway Slopes, Benching Details, Manholes & Utility Appurtenances
• Complete design activities to specified standards including earthworks modelling and design’s
• Experience in Design / Modelling of Wet Utility networks & perform Hydraulic Designs
• Knowledge on Utility Clash Analysis using Navisworks & As-Built Drawing preparation’s
• Excellent in MS Office applications like MS Word and Excel
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D drafting and design.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Undergraduate in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 8 to 12 years’ experience in Land Development Projects using Civil 3D & Modelling
• Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
• Strong attention to detail and well-versed communication skill
