Medical Typist

Role & responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe medical notes, reports, and other documentation dictated by doctors, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
• Input and update patient information in the hospitals electronic health record or medical records system.
• Safeguard sensitive medical records and ensure they are accessible only to authorized personnel.
• Ensure that the workflow of medical transcription is maintained efficiently and on schedule.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• High typing speed (typically at least 50-70 words per minute) with a focus on accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documents and tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and other patient privacy and confidentiality standards.
