Senior Engineer - Subsea Pipeline (FEA)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in onshore/offshore pipelines and subsea structures with a focus on finite element methods analysis and simulation. This role involves working closely with our engineering team to develop FE models, perform detailed analyses and provide insights that drive our product development and optimisation.

• M.Tech (or PhD desirable) in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience with ANSYS, Abaqus or FS2000 finite element analysis software.
• Experience in the design of onshore and submarine pipeline systems. Experience in subsea structures design and engineering considered a bonus.
• Experience in subsea pipeline analysis on dynamic stability, lateral buckling, spans fatigue analysis.
• Strong understanding of material properties and mechanical behaviour.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in subsea, oil and gas or related industries.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python considered an advantage.

Typical Responsibilities

• Conduct finite element analysis to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of pipelines, risers, umbilical and subsea structures in shallow water and deepwater environment .
• Develop and validate FEA models to simulate real-world conditions.
• Act as senior FEA engineer and self driven for the tasks assigned.
• Take the responsibility for both SURF (subsea pipelines/flowline, risers, umbilical) and SPS (Subsea Production Systems) analysis tasks assigned.
• 3D solid body modelling of subsea components and analysing to fit real conditions.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize product designs.
• Interpret and present analysis results to stakeholders.
• Implement quality control procedures and inspection plans to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in FEA methodologies and tools.
