Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design and integrate embedded systems with electronic hardware components.
- Implement communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet for device connectivity.
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of embedded systems hardware and software.
- Optimize code and system performance for resource-constrained embedded platforms.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and validation of embedded systems to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded systems design and development.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and assembly language for embedded systems development.
- Experience with embedded development tools, IDEs, and debugging techniques.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software interfacing.
- Familiarity with microcontroller/microprocessor architectures and peripherals (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR).
- Knowledge of embedded communication protocols and standards (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 0 to 3 years of experience in embedded systems development or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with embedded software development tools (e.g., compilers, debuggers, emulators).
- Experience with hardware design tools such as schematic capture and PCB layout software is a plus.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee) is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
