Accountant and Tax Associate

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-level Accountant to join our finance team.

With at least 5 years of accounting experience, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a

wide range of accounting duties, including financial reporting, compliance and process

improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent

analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced

environment.

Role & responsibilities

• Financial reporting prepare, examine and analyze financial statements, including balance

sheets, income statements and cash flow statements ensuring accuracy and completeness

of financial records and provide insights to management.

• Month End/Year End close Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including bank

reconciliations, journal entries and accruals ensuring accurate record-keeping.

• Financial Analysis Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend

analysis and other key performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and efficiency

and present findings to management

• Tax Compliance Assist with tax planning, filing returns and other compliances related to

Income Tax, PF, ESI & Professional Tax and other applicable laws

• Audit Support Coordinate internal and external audit processes and prepare necessary documentation

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in handling above responsibilities

Proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP, Zoho Books & Google Sheets (Excel)
