Job Description

Wissen Technology is Senior Database Administrator with DevOps Expertise

Expertise Location: Bangalore and Mumbai
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Senior DBA with expertise in Greenplum (v5, v6+), PostgreSQL (v12+), Unix/Linux, scripting (shell/Perl/Python), and DevOps practices. This role supports Big Data SRE operations, database management, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer Greenplum and PostgreSQL databases (setup, tuning, security, and backups).
Manage Unix/Linux systems and automate tasks using shell/Perl/Python.
Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Jenkins, and Jira.
Develop dashboards in Grafana and Splunk for monitoring.
Ensure system security and manage vulnerabilities.

Requirements:
Experience with Greenplum (v5, v6+), PostgreSQL (v12+), and Unix/Linux.
Proficient in shell/Perl/Python scripting and tools like Git, Jenkins, Jira.
Knowledge of Grafana, Splunk, and awk command.
Strong problem-solving and incident resolution skills.
