Software Application Engineer (C++ Developer)

Notice Period: Immediate to Serving Notice Period & Up to 15 Days max

We are seeking an experienced Software Application Engineer with 5+ years of C++ development experience to join our team. The role focuses on developing C++-based microservices for embedded Linux devices, including payment terminals and edge devices, to support critical retail site operations such as payment processing, device integration, and customer engagement.

This is an Application Development role (not traditional embedded development) that involves working with APIs, protocols, and payment systems. Experience in the payments domain is highly desirable, and cross-platform development expertise (Linux/Windows) is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C++-based microservices for embedded Linux devices.
• Implement and support APIs and protocols for integrating with external systems and devices such as petrol dispensers, EV chargers, tank gauges, and price signs.
• Develop solutions for payment workflows, mobile payments, and customer engagement.
• Contribute to cross-platform application development for portability to Windows environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet business and technical requirements effectively.
• Ensure compliance with payment security standards and facilitate necessary certifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in C++ application development (Application development, not low-level embedded or firmware development).
• Strong knowledge of Linux application development (Kernel driver development experience is NOT required).
• Experience with cross-platform development (Linux and Windows).
• Understanding of APIs, protocols, and microservices architecture.
