General Manager Supply Chain

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end supply chain operations for a leading home appliance firm. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in network optimization, vendor management, strategic planning, and pricing negotiations. This role is critical to driving operational excellence and aligning supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Execution:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
o Optimize supply chain networks to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
2. Vendor Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
o Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
3. Network Design & Optimization:
o Establish and enhance supply chain networks to ensure seamless operations and delivery.
o Evaluate logistics and distribution models for continuous improvement.
4. Pricing and Cost Management:
o Analyze market trends to establish competitive pricing strategies.
o Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or timelines.
5. Leadership & Decision-Making:
o Lead a matrix team and foster collaboration across departments.
o Provide strategic insights and make data-driven decisions to resolve operational challenges.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership to align supply chain activities with organizational goals.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance, to ensure supply chain efficiency.
7. Travel & On-the-Go Operations:
o Oversee supply chain operations across multiple locations.
o Be willing to travel as needed to meet vendors, review operations, and address supply chain issues on-site.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, preferably in the home appliance or consumer durables industry.
Demonstrated expertise in network setting, vendor negotiations, and pricing strategies.
Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability with a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage matrix teams and senior stakeholders.
