Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes, particularly within the retail sector.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
• Relevant experience in data science or a related role. (Fitment will be decided based on interview)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Strong understanding of statistical models and machine learning techniques.
• Strong exploratory data analysis (EDA) capabilities with a knack for storytelling through data.
• Experience in the retail sector is highly desirable. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business strategy.
• Develop and implement predictive models and statistical analyses to inform decision making.
• Conduct strong exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover stories within the data and effectively communicate findings to a wider audience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
• Visualize data and present findings to non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
• Identify patterns, issues, and augmentation techniques in data to provide ML engineers with the necessary information for building AI/ML models.
• Participate in the design and development of data pipelines using Spark and other big data technologies Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed models and analytics solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data science and big data technologies.
