Job Description:


The Accountant will be responsible for managing the offices financial records, including handling all accounting tasks related to daily expenses, invoicing, and payroll processing. This role requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of accounting principles to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. The Accountant will also be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain and update the companys financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and expense accounts.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

2. Expense Management:

  • Monitor and track all office-related expenses, ensuring they are within budget.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements with the companys accounting records to ensure accuracy.

3. Invoicing and Payroll:

  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Process payroll, including calculating salaries, deductions, and ensuring timely disbursement of employee salaries.

4. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the management team.

5. Budget Management:

  • Assist in the preparation of the companys annual budget and monitor actual expenses against the budget.
  • Identify and report any variances between budgeted and actual financial performance.

6. Compliance and Auditing:

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and statutory audits.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.

7. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely payments and resolution of any financial discrepancies.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding financial matters.

8. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Additional Information:


  • This is a full-time, office-based position.
  • The candidate must be willing to work 6 days a week, with Sunday as a fixed off day.


Language: Tamil & Kannada Mandate


Candidate should be within 7 kms radius of Perumbakkam


Working Hours:

  • Monday to Saturday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Sunday: Fixed Off
