Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our client's technical strategy and development team. The successful candidate will oversee the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions, including consumer-facing platforms and internal ERP systems. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that the technology stack aligns with business objectives and enhances customer experience.

Key Responsibilities :

- Technical Leadership : Mentor and guide the development team, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and design.

- Strategic Planning : Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and convert them into actionable development plans.

- Architecture & Design : Lead technology stack decisions, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.

- Development Oversight : Oversee the development process, including code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery.

- Problem Solving : Identify and resolve technical challenges, implementing solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency.

- Innovation : Stay updated with emerging technologies and advocate for cutting-edge solutions to maintain a competitive advantage.

- Collaboration : Foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments, communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

- Quality Assurance : Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to deliver a robust and error-free product.

- ERP System Oversight : Ensure the effective integration of modules within the ERP system, including Sales, Purchase, Finance, Manufacturing, and Inventory.

Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in an e-commerce or D2C environment is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java) and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Django), as well as experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), database systems (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL), and microservices architecture.

- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire development teams. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
