Computer Operator

Role & responsibilities

• Accurately enter data into computer systems, databases, and software applications.
• Verify the accuracy of data and make necessary corrections or updates.
• Review and update records, ensuring they are complete and up to date.
• Prepare and organize data for processing, including sorting, categorizing, and filtering.
• Perform data validation and cross-check data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain and manage filing systems, both electronic and physical, for easy retrieval of information.
• Generate reports and provide information as needed.
• Handle confidential or sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve data discrepancies or issues.
• Assist with data-related administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Any other responsibilities as may be given by the company from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree in Commerce or equivalent Degree Certification.
• Strong typing speed and accuracy (minimum of 40 words per minute).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and/or data entry software.
• Basic understanding of database management and software applications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
