MEP Designer (Mechanical) and Drafting

Role & responsibilities

• An In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE, Plumbing codes, Dubai Municipality and NFPA, Dubai Civil Defense codes
• Hands- on experience in Kitchen, Hospital and Specialty Laboratories cooling and ventilation requirement
• Proficient in 2D cad to create design and construction drawings. BIM experience preferable till LOD 400.
• Produces all shop drawings, details drawings, sections, elevation, plan, Isometric, sketches, typical detail, etc. and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills
• Duct design, piping design and heat load calculation expertise.
• ESP calculations, head loss calculations
• A self-starter, who have delivered project designs independently and can groom juniors
• Plumbing code and FLS codes deep understanding and design calculations.
• Proficient in preparing single line and schematic design drawings.
• Preparation of working drawings, shop drawings and details according to our methods including: Floor plans, elevations, Construction Details, Furniture layouts
• Relevant drawings for DM , DCD and DEWA approval
• Prepare detailed shop drawings by doing a through site survey and capturing the levels of each and every services very accurately.
• Designs interior spaces, including permanent architectural details and temporary elements
• Assesses and meets client requirements through regular meetings and discussions.
• Excellent grasp of engineering and design principles
• Maintain documentation room for efficient drawings storage and retrieval.
• Operate and maintain the health of plotter & copier machines, which are relevant to drawing office

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering and certifications in CAD and BIM
• With at least 5 years work related experience in a Consultancy or Electromechanical company in international projects preferably UAE based projects
• Auto CAD 2D & 3D, MS Office Packages
• Proven Track Record in projects completion.
