Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Finance & Treasury to lead our finance team in the infrastructure sector. The role involves overseeing treasury operations on a national scale, managing liquidity strategies, and driving strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical and financial expertise, particularly in infrastructure project finance, and excel in building and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury Operations & Liquidity Management
Oversee and manage the organization's treasury operations across the national level, ensuring optimal cash flow management and effective use of financial resources.
Develop, implement, and monitor liquidity management strategies to support ongoing infrastructure projects and organizational growth.
Establish robust internal controls and compliance standards for treasury activities.
Strategic Financial Leadership
Drive strategic initiatives that align with the organization's financial goals, including innovative funding solutions and optimization of capital structures.
Provide expert advice on financial planning, risk management, and capital allocation strategies related to large-scale infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and capitalize on financial opportunities that enhance the organization's overall performance.
Banking Relationships & Strategy
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and funding partners to ensure access to competitive financial products and services.
Develop and execute banking strategies to optimize financing terms, mitigate risks, and support long-term infrastructure financing needs.
Negotiate and structure complex financial agreements, including debt financing and syndicated loans.
Responsible for sourcing funds for both day-to-day operations (working capital) and long-term projects (Project Finance) by establishing relationships with various banks and financial institutions. This involves negotiating terms, assessing borrowing requirements, and ensuring optimal utilization of available credit facilities.
Technical & Financial Expertise
Pyovide in depth technical and financial expertise in structuring and managing project finance deals for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Conduct financial modeling, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to support project evaluation and decision-making.
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements across all financial and treasury activities. Analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators for presentation to credit rating agencies. This includes preparing comprehensive analyses and explanations to support credit rating assessments and investor relations activities
Prepare presentations and reports for credit rating agencies to facilitate credit rating assessments.
Monitor and control components of working capital including receivables (debtors), payables (creditors), and inventories to optimize cash flow and liquidity. This involves implementing effective credit policies, managing inventory levels, and optimizing payment terms.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Oversee performance management, training, and professional development initiatives to build team capacity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, CFA, CA or equivalent professional certification is needed.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance and treasury, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the infrastructure sector or related industries.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in treasury management, liquidity planning, and financial modeling.
In-depth knowledge of project finance, debt structuring, and infrastructure financing mechanisms.
Proficiency in ERP systems and treasury management software.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with banking partners and stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance standards, and infrastructure-related policies.
