In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative Web applications for our E-commerce platform. You will contribute to all aspects of development including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Walmart U.S. Tech: This is the team which builds reusable technologies that aid in acquiring customers, onboarding and empowering merchants besides ensuring a seamless experience for both these stakeholders. In addition to ushering in affordability, they also create personalized experiences for customers the omnichannel way, across all channels - in-store, on the mobile app and websites.

Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale systems operating at petabytes scale. We focus on real-time indexing pipelines, web crawling, streaming analytics, distributed machine learning infrastructure. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Full stack development using multiple technologies like React JS, React Native, Java, Spring, Kubernetes, NoSQL and other such tools/frameworks
2. Identifying short- and long-term goals, reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions, performing design and code reviews.
3. Develop efficient code to automate repetitive / manual tasks.
4. Design and develop large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
5. Maintain an unwavering focus on Observability and ensures everything can be measured.

What you will bring:

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer with expertise in full stack experience to join this team. This hands-on

1. 9+ years of experience in full stack development of highly scalable applications.
2. 8+ years of hands-on coding experience with NodeJS, Typescript, Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NextJS and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native.

3. Expertise Web development skills (Core understanding of the web, services and how things integrate). Cookies, headers, server to server communication understanding is critical

4. Experience in working with GraphQL using NodeJS would be a plus

5. Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

6. Excellent technical debugging and production support skills.

7. Experience with monitoring app performance, stability, success rate and leveraging data to improve the same

8. Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.

9. Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment.

10. Experience working with micro-services architecture and distributed systems

11. Passionate about reviewing code, expertise with Automation Tools and strong customer focus and obsession with quality.

12. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

13. Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

14. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

9. Develop and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
10. Ensure all systems are scalable, reliable, secure, efficient, and maintainable.
11. Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.

12. Troubleshoots business and production issues.

13. Ensures inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business

14. Evaluate and implement new web technologies to improve development efficiency and application performance.
15. Handle incident management and system troubleshooting, providing high-level technical support where needed.

16. Mentor and coach junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence

Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science
