About Team:

Supply Chain Technology(SCT) Data Science team at Walmart is focused on using the latest research in Machine learning and Computer Vision to solve business problems in supply chain process flow. We build Computer vision models to enable QC, ranking and classification algorithms for next gen use cases to empower decision-making, solve optimization problems and work with engineering team to build reference architectures and pipelines in a big data ecosystem. Advanced analytical algorithms driven by our team help Walmart to optimize supply chain operations, business practices, reduce cost and pass those benefits to our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our growing store operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and scaling our intelligence system for store operations and ensuring a robust and scalable data-driven decision-making system.

What You Will Do:

• Build Walmart-scale optimization and ML models to improve store operations efficiency, boost GMV, using cutting-edge techniques in the industry.

• Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, other data scientists, and application developers to build predictive, machine learning, and optimization models, as well as monitor these models continuously.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into technological solutions.

• Solve business problems by designing and deploying advanced predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and optimization models.

• Follow industry best practices, stay up to date with and extend the state of the art in machine learning/optimization research and practice.

What You Will Bring:

• Masters in Engineering / Technology or MSc with 4 years of industry experience

• Experience as technical on-hands data scientist building and deploying solutions.

• High proficiency in deep learning, GenAI modeling, validation and insight generation, with a proven track record of building and deploying advanced applications.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to prototype and implement complex AI solutions.

• Clearly communicate complex models, analyses, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through rich visualization and presentations

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

• Experience developing and deploying advanced and scalable optimization solutions using CPLEX or other mathematical programming solvers

• High proficiency in coding including SQL, Python, Java, and C++.

Option 3 - 5 years experience in an analytics or related field.
