• As a senior most IC in data team, you ll have the opportunity to strategize, design and build big data platform serving different analytical needs of our stake holders and building data products for associates

• Coaching and developing high-performance team: Mentor/coach teams of data engineers to ensure high quality business deliverables are met.

• Business Thought Partnership: Provide thought leadership and counsel to stakeholders in exploring possible data solutions to address business questions and business needs. Define problem statement. Translate business requirements into data / analytic strategies, initiatives, and projects, align them to business team s strategy and objectives. Synthesize data(structured/unstructured) from different sources, provide data models/actionable business insights and / or analytic solution to stakeholders.

• Technical leadership for data community : Develop expertise of the data domains that are owned and / or related to the business function that this role supports. Train and coach data engineers in mastering technical knowledge of the respective data domains to deliver data engineering/analytic solutions / insights for business stakeholders.

• Innovation and Optimisation : Understand the latest trends w.r.t data engineering and ideate and solve next generation data engineering products with a innovation mindset. Have EDLC is everything that s done and continuously provide solutions which lead to cloud optimizations. Guide the teams towards optimization data solutions. Strategize spreading of near real time and self-serve capabilities within the organization in a sustainable way. Leverage AI/ML, Gen AI and bring innovative solutions to GTA space.

• Collaboration : Collaborate closely with teams outside of GTA (GTP, Data Governance) to ensure high standards w.r.t Data Quality, Data Security and overall Data Governance thereby ensuring compliance to data audits.
• Research and drive in bringing in open-source solutions into Data space
• Develop and implement best practices and standards across the Data team
• Create a collaborative environment across geography for delivering best services to the customers around the globe.
• Provide supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for Data engineers

• A strong understanding of data and reporting engines, data modelling and warehousing, and data transformations and pipelines for supporting real time and batch-oriented events processing.
• Experience in leading large/medium sized development team as a Senior Director.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle / My SQL), non-relational databases (CosmosDB) and Big data technologies like Spark, BigQuery
• Experience in building end-to-end data products (DaaS) using latest technologies and architecture (like microservices architecture). This included good knowledge of DevOps.
• Experience with distributed real time / micro batch computation systems such as Spark

• Good academic record and graduated (B.Tech/ M.Tech) from a reputed institution
• Bachelor s with 17-22 years of experience OR Masters with 15-20 years of experience in building data integration solutions involving Big Data technologies.
