Role & responsibilities

• Ability to Independently work and complete the assignment;
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX, ASME Sec II C, Section VIII Div. 1,2, EN standards, ISO 3834
• Exposure to Aerospace/ Defense/ Nuclear products & specifications
• Should have lead a team of welding engineers
• Interaction with customers/ Third party surveyors for approval of documents
• Hands on experience for SMAW/ SAW/ FCAW/ SASC/ ESSC/GTAW welding & related issues

Should be well organized and disciplined.

• Welder qualification, WPS preparation, PQR, troubleshooting of weld repair issues
• Represents WIL in various forums for the field of welding
• Develops new procedure / techniques to :

a) Improve quality b) Increase productivity c) Meet project / Product specifications

• Interacts with customer / TPI for WPS/ PQR/ Consumable qualifications / welder qualifications
• Handle Enquiries for new projects wrt. Welding consumable estimation.
• Carry out Shop Repair Analysis, Problem Solving in shop, Welding Consumable Planning, Welding consumable batch qualification, Repair procedures, Heat treatment cycle Preparation
• Preparation of Welding Consumable Specification.
