Senior Accessibility Tester

Responsibilities:

Accessibility Testing:

• Years of Exp: 7-10 Years
• Design and execute comprehensive accessibility tests across all
• platforms (web, mobile, desktop) using assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation, etc.).
• Conduct thorough audits of products and features for compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and guidelines.

Identify and document accessibility issues, including but not limited to:

• Keyboard navigation issues
• Screen reader compatibility problems
• Insufficient color contrast
• Missing or incorrect alt text for images
• Lack of ARIA attributes for interactive elements
• Work closely with development teams to implement effective solutions for accessibility issues.
• Stay up to date on the latest accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices.

General Testing:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites, including functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Utilize industry-standard testing tools and methodologies, including SilkCentral, to manage and track test execution and results.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, isolate, and document bugs.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to release.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all testing activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• [Number] years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a related role.
• Strong experience in accessibility testing and a deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508) and guidelines.
• Proven ability to use assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation, etc.) effectively.

• Proficiency in using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
