We create the end-to-end experience for online sales/subscriptions of cars, global campaigns as well as frameworks for other parts of Volvo cars. Your responsibilities as a Staff Engineer will be to define, architect, and build solutions that delight our customers and provide the support needed for an unmatched customer experience. As a Staff Engineer, you will work closely with engineering leads and other Staff Engineers building solutions across teams, while having a large impact within your immediate product team

You should have start-up (or similar) experience where you have quickly developed prototypes and catalyzed product development in a fast paced, fluid environment. You are hands-on Salesforce and Full stack. You are experienced with agile development and a champion of software development best practices

Main responsibilities. Ideate and Create Solutions: Spearhead the development of innovative solutions that align with our business goals for the cluster

Define and Shape the Roadmap: Actively contribute to roadmap development within your team and influence broader strategies across the Product area, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives

Uplevel Team Processes and Health: Lead initiatives to optimize team processes for efficiency and effectiveness, while nurturing a positive and collaborative team environment

Support your colleagues' Growth: Mentor and support your team members, playing a key role in their professional development and contributing to the evolution of our engineering culture

Architect and Develop Systems: Design and build clean, testable, and scalable systems using Salesforce, Java, Spring, MongoDB, Cassandra, JavaScript, Typescript, ReactJS, Storybook, Backend for Frontend, GraphQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Github Actions, and other/similar technologies

Do you fit the profile?. Bachelors in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience. 8+ years in software development, with a strong foundation in complex system design and implementation

Significant experience designing and developing solutions on the Salesforce platform including working with complex integration landscapes

Significant experience of Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SQL, SOQL, REST APIs

Significant experience of Salesforce Data Model, Data Management best practices, Sharing and Security Model, Integration Patterns

Experience developing microservices using spring in Java or similar

Experience developing with frontend frameworks such as ReactJS, Typescript, or Vue

Experience working in agile teams, working with continuous integration and delivery

Strong self-awareness and a true teamwork spirit, with demonstrated experience upleveling those around you

Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of collaborating across teams and defining team processes
