Devops Engineer

Role purpose: 

• The IT ERP DevOps Consultant is responsible for identification to the product configuration and release, including planning, feasibility, and testing.
• Accountabilities: Reference Data analysis, technical analysis, development, Incident Management. 
• Key deliverables: Documented Technical Analysis, Delivery of configuration requested as part of product/numeration changes.
• Implementation of improvements.
• Measures of success: Time to Market, # Defects, Deployment Errors, Continual Improvements.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

• Monitoring, Troubleshooting, RCA and reporting of technical faults/problems logging, tracking and escalation of all technical issues related to SAP configurations only.
• Have knowledge or experience in SAP and understands the concept.
• Good communication skills required to address issues to end users and Business.
• Basic understanding/experience of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Understanding & Experience in database language MySQL.
• Builds and maintains relationships with Business and users. Also maintain cordial relationship within the team. 
• He/She should have worked in Support projects/ Incident Management, able to drive independently.
• Responding to business and user faults/problems within agreed timescales /SLAs.
• Basic understanding/experience of EC2, S3, and other DevOps tools.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

• 5+ years customer facing DevOps experience.
• Good implementation Knowledge of Jenkins, Linux, Bitbucket and GitHub
• Worked on shell script, javascripts, SQL, groovy scripts, IntelliJ, etc.
• Experience in monitoring tools like Grafana/Prometheus/Cloudwatch.
• Implementation and Support Experience.
• Hands on experience AWS endpoint and endpoint services.
• Experience in scripting and implementing & enhancing the Jenkins pipeline.
• Have knowledge and experience in GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Manage incidents end to end and associated activities against business agreed SLA.
• Worked on Jenkins controller and relevant enhancing applications used.
• Liaising with support groups and other dept. on planned maintenance activities, technical issues, and major incidents.
• Should have knowledge on Integrating Cucumber Framework with other applications for integration test scenario.
• Should have knowledge on integration of Jenkins and other relevant applications.
• Should have worked on requirement gathering for Windows EC2 Instances.
• Experience in tools like JIRA and confluence would be helpful.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence to challenge stakeholders to ensure the right requirements, and customer experience aspirations.
• Able to initiate, think ahead, plan and anticipate risks. Comfortable with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
• Strong understanding of software design and development. Can prepare specifications, estimates and solution documentation to support work completed.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Preferred: Relevant SAP, DevOps certification.
• Preferred: Good understanding of SAFe Agile process and best practices.
