QA Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Tester with 3-4years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by performing a wide range of testing activities, including manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate has a passion for quality, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

1. Manual Testing Expertise: Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including test case design, execution, and result analysis across various platforms and environments.
2. Testing Techniques: Knowledge of various testing techniques such as black-box testing, white-box testing, functional testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing.
3. Test Planning and Documentation: Ability to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
4. Bug Tracking and Reporting: Experience in using bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar to report, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
5. Defect Analysis and Debugging: Skill in identifying, isolating, and reproducing defects, as well as providing detailed defect reports with necessary information for developers.
6. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
7. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure thorough testing coverage and accurate documentation of test results.
8. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and prioritize testing activities based on risk and impact.
9. Test Automation: Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools, even if the role primarily involves manual testing.
10. Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
11. Adaptability and Learning Orientation: Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve testing processes and effectiveness.
12. Time Management: Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced development environment.
13. Strong Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC): Understanding of the entire software testing process from planning, designing, executing, and reporting. Knowledge of different phases of STLC such as requirement analysis, test planning, test design, test execution, defect tracking, and test closure.
14. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Familiarity with different phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Ability to align testing activities with SDLC phases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
15. Re-testing and Regression Testing: Proficiency in re-testing to ensure that defects have been fixed correctly and in regression testing to verify that new changes have not affected existing functionalities adversely. Ability to prioritize test cases for regression testing based on impact analysis.
16. Strong Test Case Writing Skills: Ability to write clear, concise, and effective test cases that cover all relevant test scenarios based on requirements and specifications. Understanding of different types of test cases such as positive, negative, boundary, and edge cases.
