QA Manual Tester

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Manual Tester with strong expertise in Manual Testing and SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through thorough manual testing and data validation. You will work closely with development teams to identify bugs, track issues, and ensure the application meets functional and business requirements before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Testing: Perform comprehensive manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and issues.
• Test Case Creation: Write detailed test cases and test plans based on functional requirements and business needs.
• Functional Testing: Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify the system meets business requirements.
• SQL Queries: Use SQL to validate data, perform backend testing, and ensure data integrity across applications.
• Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring proper resolution and retesting.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and identify areas for improvement.
• Test Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of test cases, test execution results, and bug reports.
• Ad-hoc Testing: Perform exploratory and ad-hoc testing when needed to uncover hidden issues.
• Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure test environments as required for manual testing processes.

Key Requirements

• Manual Testing Skills: Proven experience in manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• SQL Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL for querying databases, validating data, and conducting backend testing.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in software behavior.
• Test Documentation: Ability to create clear and concise test cases, bug reports, and testing documentation.
• Experience: Prior experience in QA testing, ideally in web applications or enterprise software environments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report defects and provide feedback to the development team.
