Lab Assistant - Centre For Innovative Manufacturing Research (CIMR)

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Provide mentoring/training/consulting for students working on the lab sessions, projects and equipment.
• Provide student training and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures for safe usage of all machinery, equipment and tools; monitoring and supervising student use of facility equipment.
• Assist the students and staff to fabricate hardware and assemblies from student designs / models
• Operate and maintain the mechatronics/ robotic equipment or tools
• Able to handle Microcontroller, PLC, raspberry PI, Arduino etc
• Sound experience in Control Systems and maintenance of Electronic Test Systems
• Maintain the stock register of the equipment and consumables clearly and ensure the readiness.
• Assist with keeping material inventory and the lab space clean and organized.
• Assist in conducting the trainings to the students, and staff.

Additional Skill Set :

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience in Manufacturing Machine Operation and Maintenance.
• The candidate must have strong knowledge in MS word, excel and Power point
