Treasury Assistant Director

Reports to: Group Treasurer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Treasury Assistant Director to lead our treasury transformation initiatives, oversee key operations, and manage a high-performing team.

This is a strategic role with responsibility for ensuring the success of critical projects, optimizing treasury operations, and serving as the primary administrator for our Treasury Management System (Kyriba). Responsible for bank accounts, treasury transactions and financial instruments (debt, derivatives, in-house bank transactions).

Role & responsibilities

As Treasury Assistant Director, you will:

1. Strategic Oversight and Team Leadership:
• Drive the execution of strategic treasury initiatives, including system implementations, process improvements, and optimization projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of four treasury professionals, fostering growth, development, and high performance.
• Provide clear direction, allocate responsibilities, and ensure team alignment with organizational objectives.
2. Kyriba Administration and Bank connectivity:
• Act as the primary administrator for the Treasury Management System (Kyriba), overseeing system configurations, maintenance, and user management.
• Act as the primary contact for technical matters with the banks and SAP.
• Lead enhancements, testing, and updates to Kyriba to meet evolving business needs.
• Train team members and stakeholders on Kyriba functionalities to maximize system utilization.
3. Project Management:
• Oversee major treasury projects such as:
• Bank RFP processes.
• Cash flow forecasting enhancements.
• Establishing and optimizing an In-House Bank structure.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
4. Operational Excellence:
• Ensure monitoring and timely settlement of transactions and financial instruments (debt, derivatives, in-house bank transactions)
• Supervise global cash management, liquidity planning, and bank account management, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Monitor and improve treasury workflows, including bank account rationalization, cash pooling, and reporting.
• Ensure robust compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Lead periodic reviews of core treasury controls, including bank mandates and payment approvals.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Expertise in treasury operations, project management, and financial systems.
• Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems, particularly Kyriba (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
• High attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a focus on results.

Experience

• 1015 years of progressive experience in Corporate Treasury, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading treasury transformation projects and managing Treasury Management Systems (Kyriba).

Education & Professional Qualifications

• A university degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or membership in the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) are highly desirable.
• Kyriba knowledge is a must, certification preferred.
