About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in Mumbai. This is a key role responsible for managing the financial health of our projects and firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in a project-based environment, preferably within the design or construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Track project budgets and expenses, providing regular updates to Principal Architect.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Manage payroll processing and related compliance requirements, adhering to Indian regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, etc.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in a project-based environment.
• Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.). Experience with [Specific Software if used] is a plus.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
