About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to lead and contribute to the planning, design, construction, and management of critical water and wastewater infrastructure and solid waste management projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in hydraulic engineering principles, water supply systems, and solid waste management infrastructure. A strong aptitude for project management, technical reporting, and hands-on supervision is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Water Infrastructure Projects:

• Plan, design, and oversee the construction of water infrastructure, including pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants, and pumping stations.
• Apply advanced hydraulic engineering principles for water supply systems, focusing on distribution and conveyance.
• Conduct Water Supply Network Modeling to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
• Assess and implement various water treatment technologies suited to project needs.

Construction Management:

• Manage and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor safety compliance and environmental impact during construction.

Project Management and Reporting:

• Lead project lifecycle activities, including budgeting/ financials, scheduling, experts mobilisation, technical delivery, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Prepare detailed project reports, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Client and key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters degree in a related field is an advantage).
• Experience: 712 years of professional experience.
• Technical Expertise:

i. Proficiency in hydraulic engineering and water supply systems.

ii. Familiarity with advanced water treatment technologies.

iii. Experience in Water Supply Network Modeling software and tools.

• Project Management: Strong skills in planning, execution, and management of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interaction and technical reporting.
• Added Advantage:

ii. Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and environmental regulations.

• Project Management: Strong skills in planning, execution, and management of large-scale infrastructure projects.
