QA Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to take on the management of our QA function, including mentorship and career development for the team. You will be spearheading a drive towards greater test automation so that our talented QA engineers enhance their skillsets and free-up time to add value across the development process. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the QA team, working with other development team members to review upcoming features and providing feedback prior to estimating and allocating work to ensure our releases are delivered on time to high quality standards. Working alongside our senior development and product leaders, you will have input to the product roadmap and the strategic development of the QA function at VisiLean.

Role & responsibilities

• Formulate / review and document software testing strategies
• Manage software testing team members (Recruit, train, allocate and monitor)
• Review business / product / software requirements and provide inputs and QA test estimates
• Prepare / review test plans
• Analyse test results and test metrics
• Prepare / review / present test reports
• Author and/or guide on the authoring of automated regression tests using appropriate frameworks
• Coordinate with other team members (Scrum master, Development Leads, Product owner etc) to ensure the highest level of software quality
• Responsible for all Test, Test Tools Development and test configuration management activities in collaboration with DevOps team

Required Keyskills/Experience

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in manual testing at UI and API levels, along with load and performance testing
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming/ scripting language
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Coordination and leadership skills
• Previous team management experience
• A thorough understanding of and previous hands-on experience with test automation.
