Cyber Security Analyst

Vishwa Samudra Holdings Pvt. Ltd. is a premier organization in Cyber Security, Information Security focused on protecting our digital assets and ensuring the integrity of our information systems. We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and help fortify our security measures.

Job Summary:

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and have strong hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing and monitoring, detecting and responding to Cyber Security threats.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, methodologies, and tools (e.g., OWASP, Nessus, Burp Suite, Metasploit).
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash).
• Relevant certifications (CEH, ISO 27001:2022 LA/Implementor, OWASP, CIS, NIST) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal and external systems including Endpoints, Servers, Applications, Websites and Network.
• Identify, analyze, document and report on security vulnerabilities and risks using various tools and methodologies.
• Develop detailed reports with findings, risk assessments, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with the IT operations team to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure secure practices.
• Help Security team in proactively monitoring and threat hunting in security incidents and alerts using Cortex XDR, SIEM, Qualys, Checkpoint Email Security and DLP, Alerts, and proactively detect, respond and remediate potential security incidents.
• Review and analyze security logs and alerts, identifying and categorizing potential security incidents.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine their cause and impact, supporting incident response efforts.
• Communicate effectively with the Security team and collaborate with respective departments to coordinate incident response efforts.
• Document and report on security incidents and investigations, as per defined standard.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.
• Assign incident categories and provide support to Security Analyst in reporting incidents.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Prepare security metrics based on requirements.
• Assist in security training and awareness programs for internal teams.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO 27001, OWASP).
