Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Scheduling
• Develop and monitor project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. • Coordinate with design, execution, and procurement teams to ensure alignment with the project plan. • Prepare detailed baseline schedules, incorporating timelines, milestones, and critical paths for NHAI road projects.
2. Quantity Surveying
• Prepare and validate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) as per project drawings and specifications. • Conduct accurate quantity take-offs, measurement verifications, and reconciliations. • Monitor material consumption and prepare material reconciliation reports.
3. Cost and Budget Management
• Monitor and control costs to ensure adherence to project budgets. • Prepare cost forecasts, project cash flows, and cost-to-complete reports. • Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and change orders as per contract terms.
4. Contract and Documentation
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with NHAI standards and specifications. • Prepare and submit contractual claims, extension-of-time requests, and dispute resolution documentation. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports for NHAI submission.
5. Progress Monitoring and Reporting
• Track project progress and prepare periodic reports on timelines, resources, and costs. • Coordinate with the site team to verify actual progress against the schedule. • Highlight delays and bottlenecks and propose recovery plans.
6. Compliance and Standards • Ensure compliance with NHAI guidelines, IRC codes, and quality standards. • Liaise with NHAI representatives for inspections, approvals, and progress reviews. • Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Key Requirements: Education
• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or equivalent. • Certification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related fields is an advantage.
Experience
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with a focus on NHAI road projects. • Proven expertise in quantity surveying, planning, and project control activities. Technical Skills
• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project). • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems. • Thorough understanding of NHAI guidelines, IRC standards, and road construction techniques.
Soft Skills
• Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
