Oracle DBA

Responsibilities:

Resource having 6+ experience and strong working knowledge as Oracle Database Administrator preferably on latest Oracle version 12c using RHEL 7 or 8.
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and tools.
Perform database tuning and optimization for performance.
Manage and perform data refresh activities, including import and export operations.
Monitor database health and implement backup and restore strategies.
Ensure database security and compliance with organizational standards.
Manage schema refresh processes using tools like Autosys.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support.

Required Skills:

Good Communication Skills.
Proficiency in Oracle Database administration (11g, 12c, or later).
Strong experience in shell scripting for automation and task scheduling.
Hands-on experience with schema refresh processes using Autosys.
Should have worked in a demanding environment with limited time.
Hands-on Knowledge of AWS is mandatory.
DevOps will be an added advantage. Expertise in creating users, providing quotas, roles, privileges, profiles, etc., import export, data pump (expdp/impdp) utilities.
Expertise in collecting performance statistics using AWR, Analyzing by using ADDM (Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor), viewing Pre Post execution plans using TKPROF (Trace Kernel Profile) utilities, like Explain Plan, Auto Trace and SQL Trace.
Strong knowledge of backup recovery, Performance Tuning, patching and Database cloning.
Work with cross-cultural, multi-national teams; strong problem-solving skills Hands on knowledge on Creating and managing database objects like tables, views and indexes.
Finding and re-validating invalid database objects Knowledge and expertise working on RAC(REAL APPLICATION CLUSTER) Expertise in Grid Administration and ASM administration using Oracle Cluster ware Expertise in Backup/Recovery using RAC.
Groom junior resource so that the resource can support Critical activities independently in their absence.
