Collections Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Collections Agent to join our team, focusing on managing and collecting outstanding payments from our US & Canada based business clients in the logistics industry. The candidate will have a strong understanding of collections laws, particularly for business-to-business transactions, and experience in the logistics and transportation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review aging reports to find invoices that are due or past due, and focus collection efforts to ensure timely payment.

• Manage overdue accounts for our US-based clients in the logistics industry.

• Contact clients by phone, email, or in writing to collect payments and address unpaid balances. • Work with clients to set up payment plans and ensure they follow Net 30 payment terms.

• Keep accurate records of collection activities, client communications, and payment statuses.

• Have knowledge of US collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant regulations.

• Work with clients to resolve issues or disputes related to invoices, providing clear communication.

• Collaborate with sales, operations, and legal teams to resolve payment problems or disputes.

• Work with the legal team to take necessary legal actions, such as sending demand letters or referring accounts to collection agencies or lawyers.

• Help with other accounting and finance tasks when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 12 months of experience in collections, ideally in logistics, transportation, or related B2B industries.

• Good understanding of US business collection laws and other federal or state laws.

Experience in logistics or transportation is a plus

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.

• Excellent negotiation skills to handle difficult conversations and arrange fair payment plans.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks efficiently.

• Familiarity with accounts payable / receivable software and Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule: Night shift
