Associate Manager - Finance and Accounts

Role: Associate Manager Finance & Accounts

Location: Corporate Office (Mumbai)
Reports to: General Manager Finance & Accounts

Role & Responsibilities:

• Banking Operations:
• Manage annual assessment and renewal of working capital limits, including preparation of CMA and process notes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and lenders.
• Address pre- and post-sanction queries from banks and credit rating agencies.
• Ensure adherence to banking compliances and regulatory frameworks
• Collaborate with financial institutions to negotiate and secure optimal banking arrangements.

• Treasury Management:
• Oversee daily cash flow management to ensure timely payments of statutory, committed liabilities, foreign remittances, and overseas branch transfers.
• Implement and manage the Cash Management System (CMS) for efficient fund utilization.
• Conduct cash flow planning, modelling, and forecasting to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Manage short-term and long-term investments to optimize returns on surplus funds.
• Develop and maintain relationships with credit rating agencies and lenders to ensure favourable ratings and borrowing terms.
• Lead borrowing and fund-raising initiatives, ensuring the company has access to adequate capital at optimal cost.

• Forex Hedging & Management
• Oversee forex hedging strategies to manage currency risks effectively.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for international transactions.

• Insurance Management
• Manage insurance policies to mitigate risks, including asset insurance, liability insurance, and any other relevant coverage.
• Collaborate with insurers and brokers to ensure cost-efficient and comprehensive coverage.

• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with FEMA regulations, including Overseas Direct Investments (ODI) and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage periodical regulatory filings such as APR (Annual Performance Report) and FLA Return (Foreign Liabilities and Assets).
• Keep abreast of changes in regulations and ensure the company adheres to all compliance requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile/ Competencies:

• Qualifications:
• Graduate in Commerce or MBA in Finance.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing or consumer goods sector.

• Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in SAP HANA and advanced financial systems.
• Expertise in cash flow and liquidity planning, investment strategies, and forex hedging.
• Expertise in handling export and import payments as well as overseas branch operations.
• Proven experience in managing credit ratings, borrowing, and fund-raising.
• Knowledge of banking compliance, regulatory reporting, and international remittances.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations for foreign subsidiaries and ODI investment/remittances.
• Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
