Area Sales Manager - Galvanized TMT Rebars

Position Overview

Ready to make a big impact in the building materials industry? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Area Sales Manager for our Galvanized TMT Rebars division. If you have a passion for sales, a strong technical background, and a drive to open new markets, this role is perfect for you. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of developing relationships with civil and structural engineers, explaining the technical benefits of our products, and driving our sales strategy in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities


  • Sales Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for galvanized TMT rebars. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand customer needs. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with civil and structural engineers, contractors, builders, and distributors. Proactively address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Market Expansion and Business Development: Identify and pursue new market segments and business opportunities to expand the company's market share. Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to introduce new products and services.

  • Technical Expertise and Support: Utilize in-depth technical knowledge of galvanized TMT rebars to provide expert advice and support to civil and structural engineers. Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and sales teams, highlighting the benefits and technical aspects of the products.

  • Sales Team Leadership and Development: Lead, train, and mentor a team of sales representatives to enhance their sales performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback and coaching.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular sales reports and present findings to senior management.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy Engineering, or an MSc in Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a significant portion in the building materials industry or selling Waterproofing Chemical. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of galvanized TMT rebars and their applications in the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in the building materials industry, specifically with galvanized TMT rebars or in selling Waterproofing Chemical.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with civil and structural engineers and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Experience in technical sales and providing technical support to customers.

Working Conditions

  • The position requires frequent travel within the assigned region to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate customer needs and business demands.
