We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Head to lead our Accounts team at Viceroy Properties, supporting in scaling our luxury real estate business across India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to oversee various accounting operations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a General Manager - Accounts, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Budget & Cash Flow Management: Work with senior management & department heads to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic planning and decision-making. Monitor and manage cash flows related to projects, balancing incoming funds with outgoing payments to contractors, suppliers, and employees.
- Taxation: To ensure all tax compliances including direct and indirect tax are met on regular basis and timely responses are being given to the notices received from Tax Authorities. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions.
- Accounting & Reporting: Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Audit and Compliance: Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate risks. Responsible for all quarterly and annual compliances, including RERA.
- Process Development: Create and implement accounting policies and procedures that enhance accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
- BD Support: Collaborate with the Business Development team to provide financial feasibility analysis for potential projects and investments.
- Coordination with external stakeholders: Liaise with external auditors for annual and project-specific audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support Strategic Decisions: Advise the senior management team on financial and tax implications of strategic decisions, including new project investments, mergers, or acquisitions.
Core Requirements:
- Qualified CA with 10 -12 years of Post Qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and project accounting principles specific to real estate.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, critical for maintaining financial integrity.
- Ability to anticipate issues, manage risks, and respond proactively to resolve problems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good knowledge of O365 Applications
- Must be detail oriented with a great work ethic.
