EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Engineer

Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Engineer with 8+ years of experience to manage safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health standards on construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for fostering a safe working environment and minimizing risks across all project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and programs for the project.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections on construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific EHS regulations and standards.
• Organize and conduct training sessions on workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental management.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to address safety and environmental concerns proactively.
• Maintain records of safety audits, incidents, training, and compliance certifications.
• Manage permits and approvals related to environmental and safety compliance.
• Provide guidance on the proper use of PPE and ensure its availability on-site.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as an EHS Engineer in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in warehouse or industrial construction projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Work Environment:

• Predominantly on-site to ensure safety measures are implemented effectively.
