Manger/ Sr. Manager Procurement- Malad

Primary Purpose:

The incumbent would drive category management based on deep customer centricity, strong analytics, sharp planning, and storytelling coupled with product/tech understanding for an enhanced customer experience.

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Manager/ Senior Manager of Procurement to oversee and manage our procurement department. The Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient sourcing and procurement of goods and services to meet the organization's needs. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
• Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships.
• Stay on top of changing trends and strategic priorities through in-depth data analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their procurement requirements.
• Identify the parameters customers use to make decisions and ensure catalog richness.
• Establish and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Negotiating favorable terms on pricing, payment, quality, delivery lead times and other key areas.
• Manage the procurement budget and track expenses, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, maintaining inventory levels as necessary.
• Mitigate procurement-related risks and implement effective risk management strategies.

Competencies Required for the Role:

• Exceptional supplier networking and negotiation skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar senior-level role.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualification:

• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) is a plus.
