Product Business Analyst

• Evaluates business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment
• Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives
• Works closely with product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers
• Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities
• Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support and project coordination for the management and optimization of our product portfolio
• The Product Portfolio Engineer/Product Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze market trends, and develop data-driven insights to guide product strategy and decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, sales, and marketing, to gather requirements and analyze market trends for our product portfolio.
• Conduct analysis of product performance, including sales data, customer feedback, and market trends.
• Develop and maintain product performance metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Generate data-driven insights and recommendations to guide product roadmap and prioritization decisions.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
• Participate in the design and development of new products, working closely with engineering and product management teams.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches.
• Provide subject matter expertise on the telecom industry, including technology trends, customer needs, and regulatory issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Product Business Analyst or Product Portfolio Engineer in the Telecom Product domain.
• Experience in product management, including market analysis, product performance evaluation, and roadmap development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of telecom technologies, including wireless, broadband, and VoIP would be an added advantage.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the telecom industry.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in product management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, ASANA, etc.
